Editorial Responsibilities
The Editorial Board (including the Editor-in-Chief & Co-Editors) of Journal of Energy Technology (JET) reserves the right to determine whether a submitted manuscript is suitable for peer review, requires changes to content, length, or language, and is ultimately acceptable for publication.
All manuscripts must be accompanied by a cover letter containing the name, affiliation, address, telephone number, and e-mail address of the corresponding author(s). The letter must include a statement affirming that:
- The work has been approved by all co-authors.
- The work has not been published previously, in whole or in part.
- The manuscript is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
- The Editor-in-Chief reserves the right to reject manuscripts that do not comply with these requirements.
Editors are committed to upholding the highest standards of editorial independence and integrity. Decisions are based solely on the manuscript’s academic merit, relevance to the journal’s scope, and adherence to ethical standards, regardless of authors’ race, gender, nationality, institutional affiliation, or political beliefs.
The languages accepted for the papers eligible for publication in JET are Slovene & English.
Peer Review Process
After a paper is submitted to JET, the editor/publishing board first establishes if it is within the journal's domain of interests and meets the journal's requirements for style and quality.
- If the paper meets the standard and the concept of the journal, it is sent to reviewers. JET uses a double-blind review. Papers which are within the journal's domain but do not meet its requirements for style or quality, may be returned to the author for revision.
- Authors will be notified of acceptance or rejection of the article about three months after submission of the manuscript.
- The reviewed papers are returned to the authors with reviewers’ feedback and suggestions for improvement or an indication of the reasons for a rejection.
- The decision regarding publication is made by the editor after considering the reviewers’ recommendations. The editorial board is under no obligation to provide justification for its decision.
- The text of the paper should be edited in accordance with the Submission Guidelines.
- Authors must certify that the data cited in the article are, to the best of their knowledge, accurate, reliable and authentic. Manuscripts will also be submitted to plagiarism detection software.
The journal does not charge submission or publication fees.
Authors may appeal editorial decisions by contacting the Editor-in-Chief with a detailed justification. Appeals are considered carefully, but do not guarantee reversal of the decision.
Similarity Check
All submitted manuscripts are screened using the software Detector of Similar Content of the producer University of Maribor, Faculty of Computer and Information Science and iThenticate of the producer Turnitin.
