Author Guidelines

We recommend that you review the About the Journal page for the journal's section policies, as well as the Author Guidelines. Authors need to register with the journal prior to submitting or, if already registered, can simply log in and begin the process.

Preparation 

Follow these instructions for the preparation of the manuscript:

Submit your paper as a Word file (.doc, .docx). It must include title page with the following information: author’s name and family name, address, full title of the article, academic title, affiliation and institution address, and e-mail address and Manuscript with article text.

All articles should be prepared on the basis of the following draft:

Use University of Maribors Press and JET-s template (JET TEMPLATE) or use:

Garamond font for main text and Cambria Math for equations.
Font size 11 pt for main text and bold titles/subtitles. Main text must be 1.2 spaced and justified.
Font size 8 for footnotes. Notes must be single line spaced  and justified.
The font size in table and diagram titles is 9; the line spacing is single.
Maximum table width is 12,5 cm. The text should be aligned on both sides.
Maximum figure width is 12,5 cm.
Endnotes, acknowledgment and references must be Font size 9 single line spaced. References must be left-aligned 1cm hanged.
Use numbering for headings and subheadings.

At the beginning of the manuscript, include an abstract (up to 150 words) in the English language and at least 5 keywords ana Slovene language.

Quote references in accordance with the American Psychological Association (APA 7) style. Include only the sources cited in the current text, arranged in alphabetical order.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The article has not been published elsewhere or is in the process of being published in another publication (or explanation is provided in the Comments field to the Editor).
  • For submission, the copyright holders' consent to the use of the material is governed, wherever necessary.
  • A paper contains sufficient detail and references to permit others to replicate the work.
  • The research meets all applicable standards for the ethics of experimentation and research integrity.
  • Authors adhere to publication requirements that submitted work is original, is not plagiarized, and has not been published elsewhere - fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behaviour and are unacceptable. The authors ensure that their work is entirely original works, and if an author has used the work and/or words of others, that this original is been appropriately cited or quoted and accurately reflects individuals’ contributions to the work and its reporting.
  • The paper is prepared according to the Instructions for Authors.

Privacy Statement

The names and e-mail addresses entered in the website of the University of Maribor Press and the Journal of Elementary Education will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of the press and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party. User data will never be distributed without the explicit permission of the user and, upon request, a user's email address is removed from mailing lists. All data held about the user will be made available to the user upon request.
