Abstract

As a member of the EU, Slovenia has followed European trends encouraging the growth of renewable energy sources and, consequently, photovoltaic systems. Based on the Energy Law and several acts,
two kinds of support schemes for PV systems were implemented. This paper focuses on an overview of this support schemes for the electricity produced, their impact on the spread of production, and analyses the transition to net metering for PV systems in Slovenia.
