Ekološka učinkovitost proizvodnje in ekološki odtis ekološkega kmetijstva
Povzetek
Zaradi naraščajočih cen energije in podnebnih sprememb se je okrepilo iskanje alternativnih sistemov kmetovanja, pri katerih bi bila poraba energije na enoto manjša. Dolgoročni poljski poskus, ki se je začel leta 2007 na Univerzi v Mariboru, se osredotoča na kakovost hrane in ekološki odtis konvencionalnih (CON), integriranih (INT), ekoloških (ORG) in biodinamičnih (BD) sistemov kmetovanja. Pridobljeni podatki so bili ovrednoteni in interpretirani s pomočjo orodja SPIonExcel. Rezultati iz prvega leta kažejo boljšo okoljsko učinkovitost obeh sistemov, ORG in BD, pri pridelavi pšenice (Triticum aestivum L.) in pire (Triticum spelta L.), predvsem zaradi neuporabe zunanjih sintetičnih proizvodnih dejavnikov. Ko v enačbo dodamo še pridelek, se sistema ORG in BD izkažeta tudi za učinkovitejša na enoto površine. Tako predstavljata sistema kmetovanja ORG in BD izvedljivo alternativo za zmanjšanje vpliva kmetijstva na podnebne spremembe, hkrati pa zagotavljata bolj trajnostno prehransko varnost.
