Urbanizacija, kakovost urbanega okolja, nacionalne socialno-ekonomske razmere in breme bolezni v Afriki: raziskovalni program za prostorsko-časovne analize podregionalnih značilnosti

Povzetek

Raziskovanje družbeno-ekonomskih, političnih in okoljskih vidikov urbanizacije v Afriki pridobiva na raziskovalni pozornosti. Pred kratkim so bile objavljene informacije o vzorcih urbanizacije, rasti prebivalstva, slumizaciji in drugih vidikih urbanizacije v Afriki v zadnjem četrtstoletju ali več. Čeprav je to poročilo pojasnilo pomembne izzive, je bilo omejeno na regionalne vzorce preučevanih spremenljivk. To poročilo kaže, da je za razjasnitev urbanističnega načrtovanja v regiji in njenih podregijah potrebnih več informacij o podregionalnih vidikih teh spremenljivk. V nadaljevanju so opisani načini za nadaljnje raziskovanje teh vprašanj in spremenljivk, na katerih temeljijo. Obravnavani so teoretični, metodološki, prostorski in časovni vidiki ali zahteve predlagane raziskave, da se zagotovi kompas za prihodnje raziskave.
