Soočanje z depopulacijo in demografskim staranjem na podeželju Japonske: Od vladnih ukrepov do lokalnega upravljanja

Povzetek

V zadnjem času je japonska vlada začela z administrativnimi reformami, ki so privedle do združevanja občin po vsej državi. Posledično se je kakovost storitev, ki jih lokalne vlade zagotavljajo prebivalcem, zlasti na depopuliranih območjih, zmanjšala. Zato se vse bolj razpravlja o možnosti samoorganizacije za oživitev lokalnega upravljanja. Vas Kawane, kljub hitremu staranju prebivalstva, izstopa zaradi uspešne revitalizacije lokalnega upravljanja z reorganizacijo svoje skupnosti. Ta raziskava preučuje različne dejavnosti skupnosti in njihove edinstvene metode upravljanja v poskusu ugotavljanja ključnih dejavnikov za uspešno samo-upravljanje v tej vasi.
