An Introduction to the Study of Intuition

Abstract

This paper is an introduction to the study of intuition, delineating the domain, and distinguishing various meanings of the term, and possibly various kinds of intuitions. The term “intuition” seems to be an umbrella word standing for a motley of very different things. We’ll start with examples and work our way slowly towards a theoretical account.
