Early Veber’s Epistemology
Keywords:
mental act, presentation, object, truth, knowledgeAbstract
In Veber’s early philosophy, we can distinguish two views concerning knowledge. They both share a claim, that a knowledge is a serious autonomous thought. A difference has to do with a presentation of a transcendent truth of an object of the knowledge. In Sistem filozofije, Veber claimed, that a content of knowledge presents transcendet possibilties or truths of facts respectively, yet by means of an object or a content of a mental act respectively alone we can not discern the mere objectual truths from the transcendent although we apprehend both kinds of truth. Subsequently, he claimed that no mental acts present objective truths of their objects.
