According to the jury, the works of academic painter Štefan Planinc bear an exceptional authorial mark, are thoughtful and at the same time introspective. They ask children more demanding questions and thus deepen their children's way of thinking. The cover features his illustration from the book Pesmi za lačne sanjavce by Milan Dekleva (1981).
