Abstract

Dretske in the article Can intelligence be artificial? raises the question about the possibility of artificial intelligence. But the main subject of his research is, nevertheless, the notion of intelligence as such. The answer to the question: What is artificial intelligence is derived from the answer to the question: What is intelligence as such. In this commentary we analyze Dretske’s discussion and test out the solidity of foundations on which he builds his conclusions.
