Abstract

In the text the participated structure of creatures is explained. It is showed that the participation in esse commune comes first in the order of discovery. Along with this come recognition of the esse-essence distinction in every finite being. At this point, it is possible to explain the role of causality and the status of God as the first cause in which esse and essence are one and the same.
