Abstract

Qualia, or secondary qualities, respectively, are synonyms which unavoidably denote the characteristics of phenomenal consciousness. The article presents an overview of the problem of qualia from the point of view of the “science of consciousness” where the arguments of philosophy and cognitive neurosciences are faced. It seems that qualia have preserved their irreducible character in this context also.
