Abstract

In the paper, the Leibnizian’s idea on the formal similarities between some languages, and between languages and reality is discussed. Although his idea is rarely explicit, it is constantly present in his logico-philosophical texts. I see in it the origin of the isomorphism idea. I present also the relation of the Leibnizian’s idea on the formal similarity to the Wittgenstein’s idea on the form as the possibility of the structure. Equivalence-classes of some isomorphic structures represent the common “forms” of those structures, and theirs abstract possibilities.
